Job Description / Responsibility
  • Inform departmental head of due dates for the submission of budget information.
  • Act as an member to department managers in formulating their budget submissions.
  • Review proposed budget submissions from department head for accuracy and completeness.
  • Examine whether budget submissions can be achieved based on known capacity constraints and inform management of potential problem areas.
  • Propose enhancements to the budget model.
  • Examine capital budget requests and issue recommendations to the approval committee.
  • Coordinate capital budgeting approvals.
  • Review the budget model for calculation errors.
  • Create a consolidated budget version for management approval.
  • Propagate the approved budget throughout the organization and explain issues as requested.
  • Compare actual to budgeted results at the end of each reporting period & at the end of the each project, and report on significant variances.
  • Update the budget model as requested to account for significant changes in the business environment.
  • Maintain the budgeting policies and procedures manual.
  • Help to plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function.
  • Manage day to day operation if existing cost accounting function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis.
  • Support the project Cost Team in the development of a standard costing system.
  • Manage the transition from the existing cost environment to standard cost System.
  • Identify, hire and develop in-project cost accounting in ERP software.
  • Development and maintenance of standard cost in ERP software.
  • Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with supporting analysis.
  • Proactive analysis of various and communication of issue and opportunities to operations management in ERP software.
  • Develop metrics and tracking system for major drivers in ERP software.
  • Define policies and procedures for all cost accounting activities in ERP software.

Educational Requirements:
  • Candidates must have a Master`s degree in commerce from a reputed University.
  • C A (CC) shall be given preference.
